The best route to travel to the British Virgin Islands is from Gatwick to Antigua and onwards to Tortola on either inter-Caribbean Airways or a private charter with Island Birds. If there are a few of you, Island Birds is a great way to arrive into the BVI and it’s great value for money too. You will be met on arrival into Antigua and given fastrack passes to speed you through immigration and customs. An hour and 15 minutes later, you will be touching down at Beef Island airport in the beautiful BVI.

Beef island, BVI

If you are travelling from the USA, you can either fly to Puerto Rico or St Thomas. From Puerto Rico the flight to Tortola/Beef Island is 35 minutes and from St Thomas you can jump on the ferry which takes around an hour, or BVI Holidays can book you in with Island Birds for the 20 minutes scenic flight to Tortola, Virgin Gorda or Anegada. If you are travelling to Anegada, you will have to land at Beef Island to clear immigration and customs first.

It’s all very easy and the fact that you have to take an extra flight to reach the BVI is the reason why these beautiful islands are still unspoilt by mass tourism.

Whether you want to stay in a villa or an hotel or charter a yacht or….a combination of the two, there is no place on earth that even comes close to the beautiful BVI.

Call or email BVI Holidays to book your next holiday in the British Virgin Islands.
