Accommodation

Leverick Bay offers an excellent and varied choice of accommodation, from hotel rooms and two bedroom apartments to 2, 3 and 4 bedroom villas with private swimming pools and stunning views of the North Sound and neighbouring British Virgin Islands.

Location

Leverick Bay Resort is located at the North end of Virgin Gorda and although it has its own lovely white sand beach, it is only a short drive from Savannah Bay, Mahoe Bay, Mango Bay and several other stunning beaches on Virgin Gorda. Leverick Bay is about 15 minutes drive from Spanish Town and the Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour.

Activities

Leverick Bay is the perfect place for water sports which include power boat rental, water skiing, dinghy sailing, kayaking, hobie catting, snorkel gear, fishing, day sail excursions to other islands, windsurfing, stand up paddle boarding or just swimming from the white sand beach.

Blue Rush Water Sports at Leverick Bay, also offer Flyboarding, which is great fun and (I am told) a lot easier than it looks! You can also rent a jet ski from Blue Rush Water Sports.

Up ‘n’ Under Water Sports also located at Leverick Bay offers Kitesurfing with instruction if required and Kitesurfing Safaris around the BVI with an experienced guide.

Dive BVI is located at the Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour and caters for all levels of divers from beginner courses to advanced. They are also very proud to offer Nitrox diving, this is a combination of oxygen and nitrogen and has many benefits including extended bottom times and less post dive fatigue. Please call for more details regarding this.

Amenities

Leverick Bay offers a Spa, swimming pool, beach/poolside restaurant and bar, gift shops, supermarket and internet/wireless services and fine dining restaurant. Entertainment is provided on certain evenings and Friday is barbecue night with a fabulous spread and entertainment by Moko Jumbies at Jumbies Beach Bar.

Dining

The Restaurant at Leverick Bay offers a fine dining menu for that romantic meal overlooking the North Sound. Also at Leverick Bay is The Cove which has a good and varied menu for lunch and early evening dining. Jumbies beach bar is a fun place to hang out and here you can enjoy an all day menu of pizza and salad, chicken wings and a variety of other snacks and casual food. You can dance the night away at their barbecue and music night on Fridays and of course, one simply has to experience the legendary Painkiller – originally concocted in the British Virgin Islands.

A short drive from Leverick Bay Resort is Hog Heaven on Virgin Gorda – well worth a visit – the view is stunning to say the least! Coco Maya, The Rock, the Mineshaft and Chez Bamboo, to mention only a few restaurants, are all within a 10-15 minute drive of Leverick Bay.

Travelling to the BVI

Travelling from the UK to the British Virgin Islands

The most direct way is from Gatwick to Antigua with British Airways and onwards to Tortola with inter-Caribbean Airways, which is also a non-stop flight. Virgin Atlantic fly from Heathrow to Antigua and the onward flight is with inter-Caribbean Airways to Tortola. Alternatively, BVI Holidays can charter a private aircraft just for you and your party. You will be met when you disembark your transatlantic flight and fast-tracked through immigration and customs and taken to your waiting aircraft.

Travelling from Scotland

Flights from Edinburgh and Glasgow can also be arranged to connect with the Gatwick and Heathrow flights on certain days. Flights from regional airports can be arranged through Paris or Amsterdam to St Maarten and onwards to the BVI.

Travelling from New York, Boston or Miami

If you would like to have a few nights in New York, Boston or Miami before heading to BVI, this can also be arranged. The onward flight is via Puerto Rico which is a 35 minute hop over to the British Virgin Islands or again, a private charter can be arranged.

There are no direct flights to the BVI which is why the islands remain unspoilt, uncrowded and uncommercialised. From the summer of 2023, there will be a flight from Miami direct to Tortola.
