Sadly, Bitter End Yacht Club sustained major damage during Hurricane Irma in September 2017. Although the hotel will re-open, we have no date from the owners as yet.
Bitter End is situated at the most north-eastern tip of Virgin Gorda, on 75 acres of land. The resort looks out onto a mile long white sand beach and its stunning location in the North Sound makes it a popular destination for yachting enthusiasts. Virgin Gorda is the British Virgin Island’s second most populated island, and whilst there is much to see and do here, the resort itself feels secluded and relaxed.
The accommodation at Bitter End can only be described as fun and a bit quirky!
Comfortable thatched cottages, a bit like tree houses, joined by wooden walkways are available for rental, all of which are scattered along the lush green hillside, overlooking the white sand beach. The Horizon and Reef rooms come with king or twin beds, air conditioning, ceiling fans, bathrobes, fridge, coffee maker (coffee provided), iron and ironing board, hairdryer, spacious en-suite shower and breathtaking views. The rooms have hammocks and comfy loungers on the veranda where you can relax and watch the spectacular sunsets or enjoy a cup of freshly made morning coffee and marvel at the stunning views of Saba Rock, Eustatia and Sir Richard Branson’s very own Necker Island!
Bitter End also has four Garden View rooms with all of the same wonderful facilities described above and are in a peaceful location with views through the mangroves to the sea.
