Accommodation

The West Indian style 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom villa nestles into the contours of the land, with bedrooms set in separate cottages maintaining maximum privacy. All bedrooms are air-conditioned.

Limeberry Villa welcomes you with an open, airy feeling. The covered dining area which is the focal point of the house boasts an open plan gourmet kitchen, so no one is left out of the entertaining. There is a six-burner Viking stove, stainless steel ice making refrigerator and dishwasher. Washing machine and tumble dryer are also provided.

The bedrooms are individually designed with names like “Nutmeg”, “Papaya”, “Coconut” and “Vanilla”. “Coconut” even has a tree growing through it and a wonderful outdoor shower.

Outside

A turquoise infinity pool offers breathtaking views over Long Bay and the Palm Grove and superb sunsets over Smuggler’s Cove. Use the cocktail seat in the pool so you can watch the sun go down while sipping a rum punch.

There is a deck for alfresco dining with a built in stainless steel BBQ.

Every detail in this custom built home is a masterpiece of design and a collection of eclectic art adorn this property inside and out.

Activities

Diving and sailing excursions can be arranged from Soper’s Hole, Tortola – a short drive away and Spa services are also available at Soper’s Hole, West End. Cane Garden Bay is a short drive away and here you can hire kayaks, sailing dinghies, snorkel gear or simply relax and enjoy yet another stunning white sand beach on beautiful Tortola. Finish your afternoon with a trip to the Callwood Rum Distillery also on Cane Garden Bay.

The Botanical Gardens are definitely worth a visit and situated in Road Town, the capital of the British Virgin Islands. Following this, you could book a tour with Original Virgin Canopy Tour company and enjoy spectacular views of Tortola. There are so many things to do on Tortola.

Limeberry Villa, is only a short walk from Long Bay Beach and Smuggler’s Cove, which is excellent for snorkelling.

Dining

At Limeberry Villa, you can cook an evening meal on the barbecue or visit one of the nearby restaurants. Limeberry Villa is a short drive from many local and international restaurants – Tropical Fusion, da Coal Pot, Bananakeet, Pusser’s at Soper’s Hole and the Sugar Mill, to name but a few. Road Town is only 20 minutes drive where you have another good selection of excellent restaurants and if you are interested in the big sporting games, Captain Mulligan’s at Nanny Cay shows them all – great atmosphere too! Inside Limeberry Villa you will find a guide with recommendations on other places to eat and where to go for the best reggae music – Quito’s Gazebo on Cane Garden Bay being a hot favourite.

Travelling to the BVI

Travelling from the UK to the British Virgin Islands

The most direct way is from Gatwick to Antigua with British Airways and onwards to Tortola with inter-Caribbean Airways, which is also a non-stop flight. Virgin Atlantic fly from Heathrow to Antigua and the onward flight is with inter-Caribbean Airways to Tortola. Alternatively, BVI Holidays can charter a private aircraft just for you and your party. You will be met when you disembark your transatlantic flight and fast-tracked through immigration and customs and taken to your waiting aircraft.

Travelling from Scotland

Flights from Edinburgh and Glasgow can also be arranged to connect with the Gatwick and Heathrow flights on certain days. Flights from regional airports can be arranged through Paris or Amsterdam to St Maarten and onwards to the BVI.

Travelling from New York, Boston or Miami

If you would like to have a few nights in New York, Boston or Miami before heading to BVI, this can also be arranged. The onward flight is via Puerto Rico which is a 35 minute hop over to the British Virgin Islands or again, a private charter can be arranged.

There are no direct flights to the BVI which is why the islands remain unspoilt, uncrowded and uncommercialised. From the summer of 2023, there will be a flight from Miami direct to Tortola.
