Property Overview

Curtain Bluff was built in 1957 in a stunning location on Antigua by renowned hotelier and owner, the late Howard Hulford.

Curtain Bluff has earned a reputation as one of the area’s finest all-inclusive properties.

The 72 guest rooms, Deluxe, Junior Suites, Suites and Executive Suites offer all the qualities of island living combined with every essential amenity and service.

Running along the Atlantic ‘surf’ beach and up the rocky bluff, all have spectacular views, and either open directly on to the sand or are just a few steps from it. Large, floor-to-ceiling windows and verandas or ground-floor terraces look out over the beach and across the sea to a lush-green headland.

Curtain Bluff has a 5,000-square-foot spa which sits apart from the rest of the resort just feet from the sea.

Its four treatment rooms boast spectacular views over the water to distant Montserrat, Cades Reef, St. Kitts, Nevis, and Redonda.

The Spa at Curtain Bluff offers a wide range of treatments, before which you can unwind on the terrace sipping tea brewed from fresh herbs picked from the spa’s garden or relax in the soaking tub and enjoy the panoramic views.

Curtain Bluff is an All-Inclusive 5-star deluxe hotel providing excellent service. They do not disappoint.

All rooms and suites at Curtain Bluff have air-conditioning and ceiling fans.

Robes and slippers are provided along with luxurious toiletries and high-speed complimentary Wi-Fi.

A refrigerator is provided to keep your drinks chilled.

Curtain Bluff has nine ground floor Deluxe rooms which offer stunning views and open directly onto their surf beach.

These rooms are decorated in traditional West Indian style and are just a short walk down a shaded pathway from the bar and restaurant.

These rooms have king size beds which can be converted to twins.

Located just a stone’s throw from the water on Curtain Bluff’s surf beach are the ground and upper floor junior suites.

Grand marble and white-tile bathrooms feature double sinks, expansive soaking tubs, and large, walk-in showers.

These suites offer one king bed, which can be converted to two twin beds and a sofa-bed. Maximum occupancy is four people – perfect for a young family.

Curtain Bluff also offers Rooms on the Bluff and the Hulford Collection – named after the owners.

These accommodations are stunning with spectacular views and some with plunge pools.

Dining at Curtain Bluff can only be described as a culinary experience.

Imaginative, diverse, and simply delicious, the food is one of the reasons that guests return to Curtain Bluff year after year.

It’s been praised by the likes of Harper’s Bazaar, Forbes, Fodors and Gourmet Magazine, and with all meals included in the room rate, Curtain Bluff really is value for money.

Breakfast and dinner are served daily in the Tamarind Restaurant, on the beach and lunch and dinner are served in the Seagrape Restaurant.

Afternoon tea is served in the library overlooking the gardens. All meals are served a la carte, with reservations required for all meals.

Curtain Bluff has a stunning white sand beach and drinks service to your lounger is provided.

If you want to venture further afield, ask Curtain Bluff’s concierge to arrange a trip to Antigua’s rainforest, which is on your doorstep, and here you can go hiking and zip-lining.

You can also take a cab to historic Nelson’s Dockyard, Shirley Heights, Devil’s Bridge to name only a few of the many places to visit on Antigua.

At Curtain Bluff you will be spoilt for choice of things to do. You can start your day with a game of tennis, swim in one of the pools, try your hand at waterskiing – instruction included, take out a kayak, windsurfer, paddleboard etc.

There are water aerobics, yoga and Pilates classes, Pickleball, Bocce and shuffleboard, a fully equipped fitness centre and many other activities too.

Snorkel gear is provided. The little ones can join in the fun at the Cee Bee Kids Club and playground.

All this is provided as part of your All-Inclusive package at Curtain Bluff.

If all of this sounds too much like hard work, you can simply relax on your lounger on the white sandy beach or choose a book in the cool environment of the library where complimentary afternoon tea is served.
