Nautitech Open 40

She comes complete with a bimini over the helm position for shade from the Caribbean sun. The Nautitech Open 40 has a new, innovative design that brings comfortable living and excellent performance together.

The saloon opens seamlessly into the cockpit, providing a huge living area whether under sail or at anchor. A hard bimini covers the cockpit, and an individual bimini covers the helm position on starboard (there is an additional helm to port). Sailing performance is enhanced by:

• High aspect rudders and high aspect sails
• Self-tacking jib
• The opportunity to charter with the additional Code 0 asymmetric gennaker (Can be rented for an additional $500 per week)
  so you get all the fun of a fast, close winded cat, comfortably sailed by two people, but with the living space you would expect in a 45 footer!

Drop-down panels allow you to air-condition the entire cockpit at anchor (and the rest of the interior of course). The Open 40 seats eight people with ease at the cockpit table, and you can enjoy panoramic views throughout the cockpit and saloon.

A cruising cat has always been a great boat to charter; the Bavaria Open 40 adds the essential ingredient of simple, spectacular sailing as standard.

The “Open” 40 name relates to the Voisard- Lombard vision of a sailing/living space unlike any other. The saloon has a forward facing galley, twin drawer fridge, and a saloon table to seat 6, with integrated navigation station. Two large coach roof hatches provide ventilation at anchor (along with two fans, and air conditioning as standard on the Horizon spec). Upholstery is leather both inside and out, and the oak interior adds to the feeling of comfort.

This owner’s version configuration has a dedicated stateroom in the entire port hull. The starboard hull incorporates two spacious double cabins and bathroom.

As well as the Sail magazine best boat award, the Open 40 was also named Cruising World best multi-hull cruiser for 2016.
