Creating dream holidays in paradise!

Think paradise, think Guana Island. This 850 acre island in the BVI is privately owned and accommodates just 35 guests. The exclusivity has helped the tropical forests, mountains, valleys and beaches remain completely unspoilt. Enjoy seven pristine white sand beaches, miles of undisturbed natural beauty, comfortable accommodation and a personal service here on Guana Island in the beautiful British Virgin Islands.

Guana Island is a thriving ecosystem, home to threatened and endangered species like the Caribbean roseate flamingo, the stout rock iguana and the red footed tortoise. Taste fresh papaya, coconut and mango in the orchard and discover a diverse range of tropical fish and coral by snorkelling or diving one of Guana’s own reefs.

Activities

Hiking or walking enthusiasts have over twenty marked trails to choose from on Guana. You can hike by yourself or hire a guide. A tour of Guana’s orchard is a must – sample a banana straight from the tree, sip coconut water right from a coconut and enjoy freshly made soursop tea. You can also work off some energy on one of Guana’s tennis courts – they have an Omni Court and a Hydro Court – rackets and balls are provided, or try out your skills at croquet, table tennis or on the volleyball court – all complimentary. Complimentary water sports are provided on Guana – small boat sailing, hobie cats, stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking. Snorkel gear is also provided free of charge. Fishing, Sunset Cruises, Kite-Surfing, SNUBA and SCUBA diving, Castaway Picnics and trips to other islands can be arranged for an additional charge. Complimentary internet access is available throughout the island.

The Guana Island donkeys always enjoy visits from guests, particularly if you come bearing banana leaves! Just pop into Guana’s orchard on the way and one of the friendly team will be happy to prepare some for you. You may also be lucky enough to have a glimpse of Guana’s pink flamingos.

After dinner you can enjoy a movie evening in the beautiful Garden of Eden on Guana Island complete with wine and popcorn! Just let the Guana team know what your favourite film is and they will do the rest.

Your Own Private Island in the Caribbean

Guana Island is also available for whole island rentals. If you have a special occasion to celebrate – a birthday, anniversary, wedding, or a reunion of family and friends – renting the whole island is an unforgettable and memorable experience.

Travelling to the BVI

Travelling from the UK to the British Virgin Islands

The most direct way is from Gatwick to Antigua with British Airways and onwards to Tortola with inter-Caribbean Airways, which is also a non-stop flight. Virgin Atlantic fly from Heathrow to Antigua and the onward flight is with inter-Caribbean Airways to Tortola. Alternatively, BVI Holidays can charter a private aircraft just for you and your party. You will be met when you disembark your transatlantic flight in Antigua, and fast-tracked through immigration and customs and taken to your waiting aircraft.

Travelling from Scotland

Flights from Edinburgh and Glasgow can also be arranged to connect with the Gatwick and Heathrow flights on certain days. Flights from regional airports can be arranged through Paris or Amsterdam to St Maarten and onwards to the BVI.

Travelling from New York, Boston or Miami

If you would like to have a few nights in New York, Boston or Miami before heading to BVI, this can also be arranged. You can either fly onwards via Puerto Rico which is a 35 minute hop over to the British Virgin Islands or again, a private charter can be arranged. There is a direct flight from Miami to Beef Island, Tortola.

Travelling from the USA

Depending on where you are in the USA, you can fly to Miami or San Juan, Puerto Rico and onwards to the BVI, or another option is to fly to St Thomas and take the ferry to Tortola. BVI Holidays can also arrange a private charter from St Thomas into Anegada, Tortola or Virgin Gorda.

Larger aircraft cannot land in the BVI which is why the islands remain unspoilt, uncrowded and uncommercialised.
