It has been a week of beautiful weather and let’s hope it continues into the week-end!  Pimms has long been a popular drink of the British, consumed during these long, hot lazy days of summer. In the British Virgin Islands, the Painkiller is the “Pimms” of the BVI…only stronger!

The Painkiller originated at the Soggy Dollar bar on Jost van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands, however, If you can’t be at the British Virgin Islands’ Soggy Dollar Bar itself to enjoy a true painkiller drink, mixing it yourself is the next best thing. See below….

SERVES 1-2

2-4 oz. of Pusser’s Rum
4 oz. pineapple juice
1 oz. cream of coconut
1 oz. orange juice
Grated fresh nutmeg

In a jug half filled with ice add the first four ingredients and stir. Pour into cocktail glasses and top with fresh grated nutmeg.

Enjoy!
