Another Wonderful BVI Experience

We returned from the BVI yesterday. We had a fabulous time. It was every bit as good as I remembered despite having changed significantly. I couldn’t believe the development at Sage Mountain – that was just a dirt track and nothing else there when I last visited! Jim Cullimore who runs the Mountain View restaurant was very welcoming and cooked a wonderful meal for us on Tuesday.

Jon, Katy and Evelyn were great, and Limeberry House fantastic. We’ll certainly go there again – hopefully less than 20 years from now! Jon invited us to Little Thatch for the day and we spent a great day there on Monday. They were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. What a paradise!

Horizon Yacht Charters were really good. Very well organised and the duty manager Jon was superb. Certainly by far the best charter experience I’ve encountered both from the sailing and the charter company – and I’ve chartered in many places overseas and at home.

The outbound lounge at Antigua on the way home was a very good idea and well worth the extra cost.

Many thanks again for your help organising everything. We will certainly use your services again – not too far in the future we hope!

Kind regards,

Phil Vibrans

Sir Richard Branson’s Island in the Sun

neckerislandJuly 2013 – BVI Holidays is excited to announce that Sir Richard Branson’s private island in the British Virgin Islands will be re-opened in September 2013.

The Great House will officially be reopened to guests following an extensive two year restructure and has been inspired by the beautiful features and Balinese style of the original house. With some new and innovative twists, it boasts amazing panoramic views of the Caribbean, the Atlantic and neighbouring islands.

Each of the eight guest rooms has a balcony, and all come with king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms. On the upper level you’ll find the Master Suite, which is a whopping 1,500 square feet and has been designed for panoramic views from virtually every angle and includes a two-person Jacuzzi, a stand-alone outdoor bath and a kitchenette area with a fully-stocked fridge.

Sir Richard commented: “Necker Island has been my home for more than 30 years and for me it is the most beautiful place in the world.”

For those who want to enjoy the full Necker experience without having to hire the entire island (which can accommodate 30 guests) ‘Celebration Weeks’ provide the opportunity to hire an individual room ‘hotel-style’ for seven nights. Call BVI Holidays for more details.

Fabulous BVI and Antigua Holiday

So sorry it’s taken so long to email you to say thank you so much for organising our holiday in the BVI & Antigua.

We had an amazing time.

We will definitely go back.

We hired a car for 2 days, travelled around the Island and we went to Jost van Dyke and Virgin Gorda – fabulous Islands, so many more to see.

Sebastian’s on the Beach was lovely very friendly and helpful food nice too.

We even met up with my friend from work and her husband in BVI they were sailing around for 3 weeks. Had a few cheeky Rum punches together!

The Inn at English Harbour was beautiful cannot fault it but not so much local cuisine on the menu we did feed this back to them, would have been nice to have some Caribbean dishes of choice for evening meal. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.

Our room was fabulous didn’t know Mark had upgraded our room he’s always up to surprise me!

English harbour had nice restaurant too Hamiltons – had fab meal there before we left for the airport. It’s run by an English couple who live in the Uk 6 months of the year and then Antigua for 6 months that’s the way to do it!
We also walked  to Pigeon beach beautiful but unfortunately Catherine’s restaurant was closed in preparation for the Sailing week so we will have to go back.

The Hotel organised a mini bus to Shirley heights what an experience that was – very enjoyable.

We will definitely be back to both Islands.

Thanks again for recommending such a fabulous holiday.

Kind regards.

Gles & Mark. X
